Where do I create a Poll?*

All Leaders

  1. Login to your account at bsfonline.org
  2. Go to the My Calendar page by selecting the ‘My Calendar’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the home page
  3. Select the ‘Polls’ button associated with the meeting for which you would like to create a Poll

 

Online Trainers + Assistant Online Trainers**

  1. Login to your account at bsfonline.org
  2. Go to the My Training page by selecting the ‘My Training’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the home page
  3. Select the ‘Polls’ button next to the Online Trainer to update the Online Leaders Meeting Polls
  4. Select the ‘Polls’ button next to the first Assistant Online Trainer to update the AOT Leader Group Polls

**OTs and AOTs can create and edit Polls for both Online Leaders Meetings and the AOT Leader Group Discussion

 

Online Group Leaders

  1. Login to your account at bsfonline.org
  2. Go to the My Group page by selecting the ‘My Group’ button in the upper right-hand corner of the home page
  3. Select the ‘Polls’ button under the ‘Chat’ and ‘Email Group’ button next to your profile picture

 

*Please note that you must use the BSF Online website to Create and Edit your Polls. These options will not work in the Zoom meeting application.

 

How do I create a Poll?

  1. On the Polls page for your meeting (see the section above), select the blue ‘Create a Poll’ button
  2. Fill out the form to create a Poll
    1. All fields noted with an asterisk are required
    2. Type of Poll: Leaders Meeting is for Online Leaders Meetings and Group Meetings for Online Discussion Groups (This helps categorize the Polls which are shared across Online Leaders Meetings within the Poll Library)
    3. By toggling Anonymous, you can decide if this Poll will record the name of the person with their specific answers or if responses will remain Anonymous
    4. Name your Poll something unique to you and your group; this is important to identify your Poll in the Library as the Polls are shared across the Online Leaders Meeting
    5. There is maximum of ten (10) questions per Poll
    6. Each question can have up to ten (10) choices
    7. The questions can either be single choice or multiple choice (more than one response)
  3. Select the blue ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page

 

How do I use my Poll during my meeting?

  1. Enable your Poll to use during your meeting
    1. Return to the main Polls page and make sure the Poll is selected (toggled) under the Poll Library
    2. Once enabled, the Poll will now be listed under the Selected Polls section for your meeting
  2. Start your meeting using the Start Meeting button
  3. When it is time, select the ‘Polls’ button at the bottom of the Zoom meeting
  4. Select the desired Poll from the dropdown at the top of the Polls pop-up page; these Poll options were selected under Selected Polls for your meeting on the BSF Online website; Reminder! You must use the BSF Online website to Create and Edit your Polls. These options will not work in the Zoom meeting application.
  5. Select ‘Launch’
  6. Allow users to respond to the Poll
  7. Select ‘End Poll’
  8. The ‘Download Results’ or ‘View Results from Browser’ options do not work currently; please manually record your Poll results or take a screenshot of the results for your records
  9. Select ‘Share Results’ to share the responses with the Zoom meeting participants

 

Can I re-use Polls?

Yes! The Polls are saved in the Poll Library and can be re-used at any time

 

Can I share Polls?

Yes! Polls are shared across the Online Leaders Meeting, so OTs, AOTs and OGLs can share the Library of Polls that are created with each other and enable them for use within their own meetings.
