In the BSF Online November 2023 release the following changes were made: 

 

My Training page reorganized

  • Class Staff and leaders now see all OTs and AOTs displayed on the top of the page. 
  • OGLs are organized into Leader Groups with an OT or AOT as their Leader Group leader.  (Not seeing Leader Groups? OTs need to add and assign using the Leader Group Management instructions later in this article.)
  • The Leader Group meeting link enables leaders to break into smaller groups for Lesson Discussion, Leadership Development, or Prayer, while retaining useful Zoom tools. 
  • The main OLM meeting link remains the same.  OT/AOTs and OGLs click the button at the top of the My Training page to enter the main OLM meeting.  
  • View a tutorial on the changes for OT 
  • View a tutorial on the changes for AOT 

 

Leaders Meeting Settings page

On this page, OTs can add or remove AOTs with minimal clicks.   

Now, an online class can have up to five AOTs to provide:  

  • A team approach to shepherding and training OGLs and discipling new class staff 
  • Opportunity for OTs to develop and disciple new class staff. 
  • Preparation for starting a new online class.  Add OT/AOT to your staff to provide the visibility and experience needed to lead their new online class. 
  • Hybrid online classes. Add alternate language AOTs to train and support a group of alternate language OGLs in their heart language. 
  • A scalable model. As BSF Online grows, multiple AOTs extend the size of online classes while maintaining effectiveness as AOTs lead and train.  

 

Please work with your OAP to determine the number of AOTs needed for your online class. Recommended 10-15 OGLs per OT/AOT.  

 

Leader Group Management

According to the planned shepherding and training of OGLs, OTs can easily:  

1. Add Leader Groups. 

2. Assign AOTs to lead these Leader Groups. 

3. Drag and drop leaders into the Leader Groups.  

4. Note that the OT group is the default group in which leaders are initially placed.   

To use Leader Groups, OTs must follow the on-screen instructions to Add and Assign these groups. 

 

My Calendar page changes:

Due to the redundancy and confusion around the OT and AOT meeting links, these have been removed from the My Calendar page. OTs use the Start Meeting and AOTs and OGLs use the Join Meeting button at the top of the My Training page to lead and participate in the main OLM meeting.
