Troubleshooting Steps for iPad Connectivity and Performance

Perform a Forced Restart

  1. Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons simultaneously for about 15–20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
  2. Allow the device to restart completely.

Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
  2. Once the reset is complete, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Reboot Router/Modem

  1. Unplug the router/modem from power.
  2. Wait at least 2 minutes, then plug it back in and allow it to restart.

Update Router Firmware

  • Check your router manufacturer’s support website for the latest firmware update and install it if available.

Adjust Wi-Fi Bands & Bandwidth

  • Try switching between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
  • Use a 20 MHz bandwidth for the 2.4 GHz band to improve stability.

Check Available Storage on Your iPad

  • Ensure that your iPad has at least 3 GB or more of free storage space.

Optimize Background App Refresh & Notifications

  1. In Settings > General > Background App Refresh, turn off the feature for apps that don’t require constant updates or disable it entirely.
  2. In Settings > Notifications, disable notifications for unnecessary apps and customize notification styles to reduce background activity.
