Troubleshooting Steps for iPad Connectivity and Performance
Perform a Forced Restart
- Hold down the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons simultaneously for about 15–20 seconds until the Apple logo appears.
- Allow the device to restart completely.
Reset Network Settings
- Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
- Once the reset is complete, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
Reboot Router/Modem
- Unplug the router/modem from power.
- Wait at least 2 minutes, then plug it back in and allow it to restart.
Update Router Firmware
- Check your router manufacturer’s support website for the latest firmware update and install it if available.
Adjust Wi-Fi Bands & Bandwidth
- Try switching between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands.
- Use a 20 MHz bandwidth for the 2.4 GHz band to improve stability.
Check Available Storage on Your iPad
- Ensure that your iPad has at least 3 GB or more of free storage space.
Optimize Background App Refresh & Notifications
- In Settings > General > Background App Refresh, turn off the feature for apps that don’t require constant updates or disable it entirely.
- In Settings > Notifications, disable notifications for unnecessary apps and customize notification styles to reduce background activity.
